The Daily Catch
The Daily Catch was a web design project built mobile first using Bootstrap 4, coupled with custom CSS. The design space was created to portray a modern casual fine dining restaurant near the coastline of New Hampshire. Generous use of white-space, a muted navy, grey and a more saturated salmon color are the main colors of the restaurant palette.
The main typeface is Josephine Slab, characterized by thin angular lines for a modern edge, but the serifs hint at a more conservative traditional flare.
Alternating sections of bold background images provide a tempo when scrolling from the top of the page to the bottom. Images and quotes from the owners give a more personal inviting presentation. The menu is the main call to action. Features constitute the main section of the home page.
